Obstetrics

Obstetrical care at Stark County Women’s Clinic includes not only medical attention, but educational and emotional support as well. Specially trained nurse practitioners work hand-in-hand with our doctors and patients through every phase of prenatal care.

Normal pregnancies involve a monthly visit for the first six months and more frequent visits during the last three months. High-risk pregnancies require more intensive monitoring and more frequent visits.

With a doctor on call in the hospital 24 hours a day, seven days a week, you may rest assured that one of our physicians will be with you during active labor – monitoring you and your baby every step of the way.

Gynecology

Gynecological care involves all other medical and surgical problems of female patients, including infertility, family planning, menstrual disorders, and cancer prevention. We recommend an annual gynecological examination, a Pap test, and periodic mammogram as a vital part of maintaining your health.

Our team approach provides excellent care for both emergencies and special health concerns. Patients benefit from the availability of an immediate second opinion, and one or more members of our group are qualified specialists in gynecological surgery, special risk obstetrics, infertility and endocrinology.

Urogynecology

Urogynecological care addresses conditions that affect a woman’s bladder and pelvis, including prolapse (dropped bladder), loss of bladder control, and difficulty urinating. Our urogynecological team offers expertise in treatment options that include a variety of non-surgical therapies designed to relieve symptoms.

Mammography and bone densitometry

Our mammography department is ACR and FDA accredited and utilizes state-of-the-art equipment. Services include screening and diagnostic mammography for early breast cancer detection. Bone densitometry studies for early detection and treatment of osteoporosis are also done. Only registered, highly trained technologists perform mammography and bone densitometry studies. The mammograms are interpreted by radiologists with specialized training in mammography.
